Funding
The Crisis Center is a private,
not-for-profit organization that receives its funds from several
sources.

Since 1973, the agency has been a
member of the United Way of Central Alabama, which provides
approximately 52% of the Crisis Center's funding.

The agency is also funded by several
grants: Rape Response receives funding from the Alabama Law
Enforcement Planning Division, Alabama Department of Public
Health, the City of Birmingham, and Jefferson County

The Board of Directors also
generates funds through several fundraising events.
